Ok kids, after Solano's scorching video of modern George, let's go back in time to 1984, when George (and his sidekick) broke big around the world. Thankfully, we have the original "Freedom" video to give us a peek into George's emerging popularity.
First and foremost, I love this song. It is truly a "feel good" tune. Now the video: its all about the inagural WHAM invasion of communist china, and you have to love george with the camcorder and communist china hat -- it can barely contain that mane of hair!!
But clearly the best part is George acting like an athlete trying to play soccer -- how awkward was that kick he attempted!!! What a shame he had to put on that facade (don't worry Geo, we know what was really going on at the Great Wall Hotel!!! :30 of video...)
Lastly we get some nice live concert footage of Wham in their heyday (Ridgely is just as useless on stage as he is on the albums, granted).
