Today, live from Cape May, New Jersey, I bring you Monkey. One of the classics off the Faith album. This is a great up tempo number that was one of the smash hits of the 80s.
The "look" for this one is totally unique. It has not been seen on Geo before or since: Kind of a bolero hat with suspenders. His dance moves are really exaggerated in this, too. Not sure why this treatment was a one shot deal for him -- it works, but it's a bit like this unicorn of George looks. You see it once and then spend the rest of your life looking for it again.

I knew it was bound to happen, but finally, a YDG video I dont like.
Now, I differentiate that from the POST, which was great in its controversial and polarizing nature.
First, I have to say that despite its somewhat dated sound, I really do like this song. Its about as mainstream as Geo ever went, and its damn good.
Its the video, and yes "look" that I have a problem with. What the hell is with that RIDICULOUS hat??? I dont think hes ever looked goofier. Further, the choreographer of this video should be shot. With Geo, he/she had the perfect canvas to work with, as evidenced by the amazing moves he lays down in the myraid videos below.
Whew, ok im done. With YDG we must highlight the good, the bad, and the GAY. this one is bad. Love the post (and the poster!), hate the video!
