I know, I know. News hit the YDG community like a George Michael hand clap -- swift and sure. Verizon and Sprint must have wondered what was happening the way the text messages were flying around. Even Tony was like OMFG.
I can tell you exactly where I was when I heard. I was on my couch watching Law & Order. I'll never forget it -- it's like remembering where you were when you heard John Lennon was shot, etc.
I feel vindicated that Nigel Lythgoe referred to George as "the biggest star on the planet. True, true, Nigel.
The big question is this: What will he play? I feel that it might be Freedom or maybe Patience. I don't know! I can't think straight.
Now, in your comments, YDGers, I'd like you each to let the group know your thoughts on George playing on the FINALE of Idol. And what you think he'll play.

I think he'll have to get the crowd rocking, so perhaps Faith. I don't know I can't concentrate, it's just too much!!

I think he;ll sing Faith, particularly because that song's been highlighted in that ABC show "Eli Stone." Kind of wish hed play Freedom instead.
I wonder what he'll be wearing!!
If he played Freedom, I may burst into tears (don't worry, you'll see the same thing at the concert in July).
I must agree he will play Faith tonight - I just hope he wears the SAME Levi jeans and does the SAME booty shake that has rocked our world for years.
I have it DVRed and spoke to Katherine about a possible "group hang" early next week at my place for a YDG viewing of the performance. Thoughts?
JS I'm totally into a YDG group hang only if we can fast forward through the ABSOLUTE HORROR that we've spent the past 1h 22m enduring.
