An Easier Affair

After George's inspiring story of coming out and getting happy from yesterday's YDG post, I thought An Easier Affiar would be fitting. This is the kind of uber-pop song that is a George staple. It's in the tradition of Judy Garland's "Get Happy", and Madonna's "Holiday" -- they are maniacally positive and espouse a sort of super simplisitc positive philosophy or world view. In this one, George talks about being gay and being positive about it. The lyrics are great, but the real story here is in the tracks and production. This is a great work out song -- not that I actually work out, but I like to picture myself working out to this song. In my vision, the music is just effortlessly pushing me forward on the treadmill and I am just gliding on air. George's music is so escapist sometimes. Anyway, love this song. He'll definitely play it at our show!

GREAT post Kitty!!! Funny you mention this being a good gym song. The other morning I was on the elliptical listening to me "GEORGE" playlist and this song went on. The candid biographical lyrics over such an infectious groove is truly fantastic!

This may be the nicest-looking George video ever. Very esthetically pleasing, and George is at his handsomest. But the real star of the video is his honest declaration -- confident and self assured with who he is -- "Hes dancin with the freaks nowww!!"

Pump up the volume on this one people -- we "dont have time for the haters!!!"
