Freeek!

This is my first post to YDG, so I figured I'd go for pure "wow" factor with Freeek!(yes, three Rs). **DISCLAIMER** If you are highly-respected in your office, you may not want to watch this video in front of co-workers. George has done it again - brought sheer sex appeal into our lives with this edgy gem-of-a-hit from 2002. Walk into any gay club on the east coast and you will hear this within 5 songs - the gays love them some George.

After a 6 year hiatus, George released Freeek! as the first single from Patience - talk about an attention-grabber! In my personal, albeit flaming opinion, you can't turn your head from watching this video for three main reasons: 1) the repetitive "Ooo, touch it," 2) the fact that he has four leather-bound women on a leash during 4/5 of the video, 3) the dude man-scaping himself in the bathroom at 2:07.

If that wasn't enough for you, there's the brilliant dance breakdown at 3:00 where he slaps one of his "bitches" on the tuckus, immediately followed by a dog mounting his mate. Now that you all think I'm nuts and/or a nympho, enjoy the video!

WHOA! Talking about jumping in head first!! Great work, John, not only on the video itself, but drawing our attention to the important parts. And you're right, once you start watching this, you cant look away.

As always, I'll start with George's looks: the cyborg/dominatrix persona is, well, downright FREAKY! And that crazy shave job he has can be cut with a knife. This is pure uninhibited Geo, and makes the outside video look tame!

I can see why this song is so popular in the clubs (thank you that context, btw), it has a real hard, dirty dancable quality to it. Kinda inspires freakiness!!!

George has so many shades. Thamk God we have a few months to go to cover them all in this blog...

Who are you John Solano? You have come out of nowhere and made quite a lasting mark on YDG. You really threw down the gauntlet with this.

This is actually a really great song. I love it on the Patience album especially -- it's quite out of context with the rest of the album. He keeps us guessing.

As for this video. What can I say that you two queens have not covered? (Greg, are you gay yet?) It is like you can't look away. The cyborg/dominatrix indeed.

John, you have really snapped us into the present with this. Us old folks have been livin in the GM past -- 80s and 90s -- and you brought us into the oughts. Thank you and welcome.

John, we've never met, but this is all the introduction I need. You sir, have raised the bar on YDG. Dude, is he wearing Britney Spears' outfit from "Oops I Did It Again"??
