I'm Back!

I'm back from the dreaded city of Portland, OR where I saw more "Impeach!" and "Bush is a War Criminal" bumper stickers than I care to count. Everyone out there is very against "the corporations."

(On a YDG note, I am extremely impressed with the caliber of posts this week. We're really hitting our stride! Keep the comments coming: YDG is like a great relationship. You have to nurture it to keep it healthy.)

For today's post, I decided to mix it up with a fan tribute video from someone named Big Dan. He's extremely insane, but shares our passion for George as well as the song Jesus to a Child. He goes for the Faith look, which I love, including George's 25 year 5 o'clock shadow. Impressive.

And for a bonus clip, I am including a rehearsal of George and Lisa Stansfield singing These Are the Days of Our Lives. Since YDG has been a great observer of George's "moves," I think this is a perfect clip demonstrate how natural and organic his moves really are. He even does them in rehearsal. There is a crowd at rehearsal, too. And they are all just sitting there mesmerized. I can relate.

One word about Dan -- the shadow is just plain phenomenal! I never even bother to grow out a little beard cause its so uneven, but thats another story...

NOW, let me focus my full attention to the true gem of this post-- George and Lisa!!! If somebody to love was the best performance of the freedy tribute, this was by far the most poignant and heartfelt. Lisa's voice is a perfect compliment to George's, just wonderful!!

And Kitty, what a return! not concert footage, but REHEARSAL! YDG has entered another realm today.
